FOUNDING TESTERS
Terms.
Founding testers. Submit one handwritten page and an email. When the first edition of the engine is ready, your page is among the first transcribed: run through the engine, checked by hand, and returned to you at no cost. Your page is kept private and used only to evaluate the engine. Nothing is promised about dates, and nothing is charged.
§ I
What you agree to.
The page you submit is yours to submit. You warrant that you hold or have permission for the rights in it, and that it carries nothing unlawful. You keep every right you already hold in the music; you grant Rastral only the narrow permission needed to store the page and run it through the engine, and — if, and only if, you tick the specimen box — to show it anonymously as an example of the work. You agree not to submit a page you have no right to share, and you hold Rastral harmless from any claim that arises if you do. The service is offered as it stands, without warranty; nothing here is a sale, and no fee is owed.
§ II
Privacy.
Rastral keeps three things: the page you send, the email you give, and the note if you leave one. They are held privately, used only to evaluate the engine and to write to you once about your transcription, and shown to no one — unless you granted the specimen permission above. Your page is never sold, never used to train a model, never handed on. To rule out abuse, the moment of submission is counted against a one-way fingerprint of your network address; the address itself is never stored. Ask at the correspondence below and your page and record are removed.
